The non-profit organisation, Palms Australia has opened the new "The 
Fair-trade Coffee Company" Cafe in Glebe, Sydney and is in need of the 
following: 


1. An Organic foods chef with a no-waste policy - paid position 

You must be sustainable in cooking, aware of Organic food costs, and 
approach the kitchen environment with versatility and enthusiasm.!
Breakfast - Lunch – Dinner
Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten-Free, and 10% meat
5 Shifts / week
Salary - half of your Salary is tax-free (benefit of working for a 
non-profit organisation) 


2. Volunteers to design Permaculture the Cafe backyard 

This is a great opportunity for anyone, including PDC or Diploma students.!
You will need to design one or all of three stages to implement into the 
cafe: 

Stage 1: Design a workable sprouting system, to be used on a daily basis.
Stage 2: Design a rainwater collecting system and an Edible Backyard. Both 
will be used as part of the normal cooking routine and as a visible example 
of permaculture in action.!
Stage 3: Design a solar hot water system. 


3. A Volunteer experienced in the logistics of running a sustainable kitchen 
to give advise or design good methods for storing and handling wholefoods.
