Hi all,
a reminder that the first planting day for the new Violet Town Community Forest is this
Saturday, 2nd September, 9.30 am, Shadforth Reserve, Shiffner St, Violet Town
[North East Victoria, Australia].
Lunch and drinks provided. Visiting Permies most welcome, contact me as below to
arrange camping, or for accommodation suggestions.
It can be a full weekend, because on the Sunday lunch is provided again at a habitat
planting morning for the threatened Grey Crown Babbler. Then on Sunday afternoon
[on the way back to Melbourne if from there] the VT Seedsavers and Permaculture
Group is having its monthly meeting and grafting day at a productive and diverse small
market garden in Euroa. Locally saved seeds will be for sale.
The second Community Forest planting day, hopefully completing the 5 000 tree and
shrub planting, will be on Sunday 10th September, the day after the monthly Violet
Town Market on Sat 9th. Same deal for Sunday 10th, 9.30 start, lunch provided.
Warmly,
Dave A
