Organic Expo 2006
Organic Expo held from 21 to 23 July at Sydney Exhibition Centre will be
Australia¹s largest ever organic and environmental lifestyle show.
A strong theme running through this years Expo is nourishing our children
in the 21st century¹. Seminars and panel discussions will focus on creating
a sustainable future for our children through our food, homes and gardens.
The Organisers, Smeaton Hackett Events, have created plenty of exciting
features to satisfy everyone¹s interests;
v Garden lovers will enjoy the Organic Garden, created by show award
winners Permaculture North, which will host some fascinating gardening
presentations by ABC Gardening Australia¹ presenters Jerry Coleby-Williams
& Andrew O¹Sullivan, as well as Permaculture expert Peter Rutherford.
v Renowned chefs Kylie Kwong, Teresa Cutter, Holly Davis and Tony Sharpe
will be cooking up some delicious organic fare. Visitors can pose their
questions in the panel discussions with SBS Food Lovers Guide to Australia¹
host, Joanna Savill, author and biodynamic farmer, Patrice Newell and third
generation organic farmer John Priestley plus many more.
v Industry commentators, Scott Kinnear, Andre Leu and Catriona Macmillan
and lots of organic farmers.
v The Farmers Market Display will promote an array of beautiful fruits
and veggies grown on Australian organic farms and give visitors the
opportunity to taste the produce and talk directly with the farmers about
where there food comes from.
v An Organic Café will offer a full range of delicious organic fare to
keep everyone going throughout the day.
The 2006 Australia / New Zealand Organic Wine Show will have a fantastic
display of award winning organic wines, selected by a commendable panel of
judges; Ron Georgiriu (MW), Jon Osbestein, Clive Hartley and this year we
welcome on board Max Allen.
The Organic Federation of Australia¹s annual conference Organics -
Solutions to Climate Change¹ will be held alongside the Organic Expo, with
over 100 delegates expected to take part.

Sunday 23rd July 10.00am - 5.00pm- Public
Entry: $12.50 Adult ; $10 Concession; Children under 14 free
Over 165 exhibitors and 8500+ visitors are expected to attend this show
which has the full support of industry associations, certifying bodies,
environmental organisations and government bodies.
