Hi Maxine
Was the broccoli packaged in a cellulose type bag? I'm not au fait
with the latest chemicals used in post harvest treatments but have
heard of a nitrogenous vacuum seal used to extend the "shelf life" of
seeds. Since it is a naturally occurring gas, nitrogen could well be
classified as within the guidelines for "organic". Maybe you could
contact Coles about it and make enquiries with the grower, we could
then compare the service standards of both Coles and Aldi in relation
to organic foods.
