No. trombe walls are USUALLY INSIDE the building storing heat from big windows, and sometimes they are filled with water.

Those angled black things under a window are apparently called solar box collectors.

Can anyone recall what those heat collectors were called in the early days of solar energy? Set at an angle below a window, they collected heat and it flowed into the room behind, and the vent could be closed in summer.
