Last week I heard Tim Flannery speak about climate change.  His message was
far more forceful than the message contained in his recent book, "The
Weather Makers".

At the end of his session I received a flyer urging people to become part of
a Citizens Climate Campaign.

The group's aim is to get thousands of ordinary people from all over
Australia sending a short message every month by letter or email, to let our
government know that climate change is an issue of major concern to the
voting public.

All you need to do is make a commitment to send a short message each month
to appropriate politicians.

To make this quick and easy, the group will send you a short email each
month with information on some aspect of climate change, a few points to
make in the message and contact details of politicians.  You can either
write your own message or use the group's suggestions.

To join this campaign, send an email saying "Yes!" to
climatez at bigpond.net.au

This is a numbers campaign and is a very powerful way to send a strong
message so please enrol your friends and your networks.
