'sub-surface' installation is the turning point of the matter...here we 
interpret that as sub 100mm of mulch (the surface being the surface of the 
mulch and the mulch being applied only where there are jab injectors or 
drippers with their guts removed) . David is spot-on. We have had a system 
going for many years. The average family can irrigate 20 fruit trees. We 
have not found any need to regulate the system.
