In Willunga, SA, with cool wet winters and hot dry summers, the nasturtiums
have been a great ground cover - full growth during winter, beaut flowers in
spring and then they shrivel and disappear in the first October heat.  They
self seed and suppress less desirable growth.  Geraniums have proven good
survivors, but get in the way as they become tough and woody so not
favoured, by me
