[permaculture-oceania] LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO CREATE OUR NEXT GARDEN

Thanks (a BIG thanks!) to all who helped to negotiate for, and then
relocate, our much-loved Thomas st garden. We hope your gardens are thriving
and feeding you well!

We've now moved ourselves, our chickens, ducks and the last of our plants
out of Thomas st. While Dan travels north on a permaculture adventure, Cat
and Adrian (and associated poultry) are hanging out in South Gippsland,
turning an empty paddock into something lovelier, starting our own
permaculture business (consulting, training and resources including plants
and seeds), and looking for a home. Expecting a baby in February, we'd like
to be settled somewhere before then, where we can grow lots of veggies to
mash, and base our new business.

We need to find a place a little outside Melbourne, with a house and a bit
of land to play with. Ideally we'd love the Dandenongs- trees, interesting
people, manageable distance to the city- but other areas would probably work
well too. The main thing is that we're hoping to find a situation where we
can reach a good agreement with the landowner, along the lines of cheap rent
for our time and skills in the garden... We certainly don't want to end up
in a similar situation again, with a landlord whose values are so far apart
from our own, but would rather improve the property of an individual(s) who
would appreciate a few extra inches of topsoil!

If you or anyone you know might be interested in having us love, care for,
and improve your land, we'd be very interested in talking about it!! Cat's
email is cat at viridescens.com.

Thanks again and happy growing,

Cat and Adrian.
