Hi Rosa,
If you want to know anything about biofuels at all my strong suggestion
would be to skip across to:
http://www.biofuelsforum.com/

and find the relevant sub forum and post a message there. Probably the
'Making biodiesel' section. There is also a section in there now on
Ethanol. The forum people are trying to make it into the best source of
biofuels info in general around so you will certainly get an answer if there
is one to be had.

Chers,
Cameron

alternatives

 biodiesel and ethanol production alternatives;

has anyone looked at using the Castor Oil plant or Patterson's Curse (sorry
I can not remember their botanical names) to produce these fuels?

Could you extract their OIL first and then ferment their residue to get
ETHANOL?

We know they grow without TLC and I know that in Argentina the oil from the
castor oil plant was being processed to be used in the aviation industry,
not sure if as lubricant or fuel.

We now have pockets of Patterson's curse in town!
