[permaculture-oceania] RE: Brisbane: Harvest festival

A Harvest festival in September? Where I'm from (Melbourne)  it would have to be the leanest time of the year for harvesting produce with most of the winter crops gone or depleted and the spring crops not ready yet. An orange juice and greens festival might be more appropriate.

 

Perhaps it is very different in Brisbane, but I didn't think it was that different.

Northey Street City fam hosts its biggest event for the year shortly - The
annual HARVEST FESTIVAL.

It's on Sunday 10th September, from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The day focuses on multicultural groups, especially recently arrived refugee
communities.

The day is free, with over 14 colourful performances, many yummy food
stalls, craft & information stalls, children's art activities, free
permaculture demonstrations, farm tours & cooking workshops. Great coffee
shop & cob oven pizza.

Join thousands of other people at this big event, run in partnership with
BEMAC and Brisbane City Council and in association with Riverfest.
