Hi Everyone
After each Australian City Farms and Community Gardens Network National
Gathering, which was held in Adelaide this year, Sydney holds a regional get
together on what has been happening around Australia and look at ways to
help support community gardens in our region.
Although the meeting is for people who provide support to community gardens,
city farms and related food and community development initiatives through
their work in institutions, professions and local governbment, all with an
interest in these things are welcome to attend.
Next years national gathering will be held in Melbourne and will combine
community gardens and city farms, school gardens and seed saving conferences
- see details at the end of this email.
2006 SYDNEY REGIONAL GET TOGETHER DETAILS:
WHEN: Monday 25 September 2006
TIME: 12:30 for lunch with presentations, discussion and tours from 1pm to
3pm
WHERE: City of Sydney is hosting this year's get together at:
Level 12 Town Hall House, 456 Kent Street, Sydney
MEET: 12:20 in the foyer of Level 1, Town Hall House, Kent Street Entrance,
Sydney

organise catering.

The aim of this annual Sydney regional gathering is to provide a forum for
those experience in community gardens to:
* exchange ideas
* share experiences
* provide information
* plan actions/activities for the next year that will help:
- support and promote community gardens
- where appropriate, promote food issues related to sustainability.
