Our next two open days at Illabunda are coming up on 22nd October and then
26 November.  These will be special days with some extra activities like
hatching chickens, chooks for the kids to play with, some metalwork in the
forge and other crafty activities.  More details as we get closer.
 
We have had a great couple of open days at Illabunda during August (see pics
http://www.illabundavillage.com.au/gallery_openday27.htm) and a fun time
with the Permaculture North Garden Team on 16th September making a "no-dig"
vegie patch and planting out Cumberland Plain Woodland on the steep
hillslope area below lot 16

Now you will also be able to see how the "no-dig" veg garden is coping with
the rampant kikuyu grass and how the new woodland planting is growing.  
 
The times for the open days are now 11:00am - 3:00pm at 16 Buckleys Road
Winston Hills.  There will be a BBQ on the go (with vegetarian options) and
refreshments and an overview of the project with updates and tours of the
Illabunda site every 45 minutes or so.
 
So if you havent been before or want to see some more of an urban
eco-village in development in Sydney, come along and join in the Illabunda
experience.  Tell your friends too!
