Just a quick reminder that his Saturday is the last Melbourne farmers¹
market for the year so don¹t miss out! The forecast might be for rain but
let's prove Melbournians aren't fairweather market goers...
Luscious apricots, cherries, peaches and nectarines, berries galore
(including fresh blueberries), avocadoes, zuchinni, oranges, roasted
hazelnuts, crisp greens, new potatoes, puds, cakes and all manner of locally
grown and made edible gifts. In the courtyard there¹ll be four own-herd
cheesemakers, Gundowring¹s gorgeous ice cream, Schultz¹ organic dairy and
provisions for picnics from Chef¹s Own. And don¹t miss the Slow Food brekkie
stall with BBQed beef kebabs and warm cherry pikelets.

In meat matters Monte Allegro will have their excellent ChoriOz sausages,
Milawa have the freshest of free range poultry, Warialda have a 20% special
off rare breed Belted Galloway Beef (except steak and smallgoods), Gypsy Pig
will have their fabulous terrines and pork for summer barbecuing and
Bultarra Lamb mince makes the best burger around! As a one off, Fernleigh
Farm organic free range smoked leg hams will be available but you MUST order
them prior to the market. For order forms and details call 53485566 or email
organic at fernleighfarms.com <mailto:organic at fernleighfarms.com> ASAP so you
don¹t miss out.

And for a once a year treat, Australian Conservation Foundation will be at
the market with beautiful fresh vanilla beans from PNG which directly
supports the local community regeneration project, and OXFAM Unwrapped will
be selling goodwill and cheer for the person who has everything already in
giving to someone who has nothing.

We do hope to see you regularly in 2008. Your support means so much to
Victorian farmers¹ and differentiates us from food and wine 'events'. We're
just about people doing their household shopping - and it just happens to
be the freshest, seasonal produce around grown right here in Victoria
brought direct to you by its grower! Please make it a resolution for the new
year, tell your friends and come along as often as you can.
