Not forgetting Hugh's usually fascinating, sometimes disturbing,
 set of River Cottage series.

The "Grow Your Own Vegetables" series (6-part, I think) wrapped up
this week in the UK. Have them but haven't watched them properly
yet - looks like they've gone a bit light on substance, as these things
 typically do.

It's Not Easy Being Green .. promised much, but kind of missed the
point repeatedly. They mentioned Permaculture in the first ep, f.e.,
and then proceeded to a) imply it was about mulching and building
a compost, and b) never touched on it again. Their vegetable garden
was a good way from their house, their chooks in another direction,
their greenhouse was disconnected from everything and their passive
heat store was a rather complicated construct involving crushed glass,
polystyrene, PVC piping, 12V battery, electric fan and solar cell.
