[Pil-pc-oceania] Nutgrass control

Hi folks!
This is my first email to the group and hope I'm following protocols!
Thanks to all for contributing to this site!!
 
Now I hope this isn't boring old ground for some.My enquiry is on nutgrass
control.
 
Can it be out-competed within gardens? 
Has anybody had success in controlling it in gardens... or in lawns by a
natural method?
