I felt at deaths door when I had mastitis with my first baby. I could
barley move... couldnt even cry :( HOMEOPATHICS saved the day :) I took
them one night and the next morning got up and did 5 loads of laundry. Ring
around untill you find a practitioner that will give you the remedy with
only a quick phone consultation... most should. Massage the goats udder from
high up over the lumpy bit but make sure you are not pulling down on the
teats or udder. You may also look at getting an experienced hand milker in
to check your technique as I know average-bad technique can cause problems.
Cold packs before and after milking and maybe milking more often than usual
or putting the kid back on for a while will help. And give your gaot a
cuddle. PS my homeopath said I was better to ride it out than take
antibiotics.

I hope this helps and I am sure other people have more to say... I have
reletavily little goat exp.
