The Melbourne Age has an article on Permablitz. The article is available at:-

The Website for the Permablitz people is:-
http://www.permablitz.net/

There appears to be parallels between the Permablitz approach & the Business proposed by Jims Permaculture.

There is potential for these approaches to provide a "net gain" for Permaculture.

I think however that a fundamental Permaculture Principle appears to have been largely circumvented in these ventures. And that is the Principle that Holmgren puts first. i.e. OBSERVE AND INTERACT.
Mollison on Page 1 of Introduction to Permaculture describes the philosophy of Permaculture as "......protracted and thoughtful observation rather than protracted and thoughtless labour".

Blitzing and Makeovers are not terms that encapsulate this principle & philosophy for me.

The specific activities in which these groups engage (or intend to engage in the case of Jims Permaculture) are generally desirable ones. If Principle One could play a much greater role in guiding these activities then the connection with Permaculture would become more apparent for me.
