      Hardwood flooring manufacturer Australian Solar Timbers, Kempsey, NSW, is blazing a timber industry environmental trail.
      On the North Coast of NSW, it has become the first to achieve accreditation under the Australian Forestry Standard (AFS) chain of custody certification scheme.

      The AFS brand gives consumers the power to opt for products that come with the assurance they have been made with wood from sustainably-managed Australian forests.

      It's a sign of the times, as the foresty industry adapts to and improves on its environmentally sound methods of operation.
