Hi everyone,

My radio show 'Future Directions' on our Regional ABC here in South East
Aust ran weekly for 2 years before being taken off- air early this year.
Political pressure leading up to the NSW State elections was the
innuendo and probably following interviews I did with the likes of Ted
Trainer and Stuart Hill. They dont like permaculture principles delving
into the social and economic areas on 'our Aunty'.

Anyway.. presenter Tim Holt has invited me back for a 6 week block
talking about energy issues with the backdrop of the Federal Election in
tandem.

Permaculture people I'll be talking to are-
Janet Millington - on her Transition Town group on the Sunshine Coast.
David Holmgren - insights following his rescent overseas tour.
Ian Lillington - about his work in Castlemaine with a community group.
Dan Palmer - about the Permablitz story
James Peel - a local turbo-diesel mechanic with thoughts on future wood
energy solutions and a
serious warning about running cars on vegy oil not
filtered properly.

As a group of permaculturists spread throughout Australasia on this
list-serve, you could help spread this program so at least a sane voice
is heard somewhere during this election campaign.A couple of things
could be done, you may have more ideas;
   * Ring our ABC here on 02 64 916 011 and see if they could put the
interviews on-line to down load.
   * Ring your local ABC if they could pick up the program from Bega and
either get it live or repeat it some other time.

kind regards
John
Mumbulla Bioregion.
