Hi All

Frances Parker from University of Western Sydney has done a lot of work in
this region on food and the growers. The figure is pretty right - there
was an article on the University of Western Sydney website.

Also Hawkesbury Food Harvest
http://www.hawkesbury.net.au/community/178.html

Of course this land is now earmarked for housing.

Brilliant!!!!

Subject: [Pil-pc-oceania] Sydney bio-region / food production

 Greetings,

The ABC ran a story a couple of years ago:
 http://www.abc.net.au/rural/content/2005/s1525490.htm

... that asserted that 90% of Sydney's fresh produce was
 grown in Bringelly.

This seems an astonishingly unreasonable figure, even for way
back in 2005. Can someone point me at some better and/or
 more recent statistics for Sydney?

 taa,
 Jedd.
