     DAVID HOLMGREN  public talk - this friday night in Apollo Bay, Victoria
  
David Holmgren is best known as the co-originator with Bill Mollison of the
permaculture concept – a design system based on ecological principles which
can be used to manage and improve all efforts made by individuals,
households and communities towards a sustainable future.

An internationally respected author and public speaker, David Holmgren is
committed to presenting permaculture ideas through practical projects and
personal example, providing a refreshing and unorthodox approach to the
environmental issues of our time.
 
On FRIDAY, 26th OCTOBER, David will present how we all can creatively adapt
to a future of greatly reduced energy availability – given that so much
fossil fuel has been pumped from the ground over the last 150 years, global
oil production has passed its peak; so much has been burned that we are
seeing a planetary-scale impact.
Oil, coal and gas are essential to agriculture, food & services
distribution, housing and industry. How can we continue to provide for
people as these resources dwindle?
David Holmgren’s presentation will be stimulating, challenging, practical
and positive, with opportunity for questions and discussion.
