GROWING OUR OWN VILLAGE RICE ?

Easy at the supermarket.  IN AUSTRALIA

Just take a 1kg. pack.

- Put it in your trolley.
- Go to supermarket checkout and pay.
- Take it home and cook it.

IN OUR VILLAGES ?

Grow enough QUALITY rice for us for the next year. And store it

1/3 of what we have grown in our storage is eaten by rats and weevils.

Sell a little extra rice to buy some cooking oil and some lighting, lamp 
oil. 'Kerosene'.

Kerosene is twice the price it was last year.

Cost of fertiliser to help grow our next crop of rice has just doubled.

Our deisel water pump has died and needs parts we cannot afford. So we can 
not irrigate our fields to gow rice for next year.
