[Pil-pc-oceania] on post-oil machines: has a group split from thisone?

This is a central interest of mine - I have quite a lot of hand
wood-working tools, several push-pull mowers which are in use, bits and
pieces of cranks and gears for winding machines, an antique
hand-operated plunger clothes washer which I sometimes use, a grinding
machine that used to be used for chicken bones (lovely!), which I've
used to grind up bones for the garden after the dogs are finished with
them, and am always on the look out for information and more tools and
machines. I am seriously considering getting rid of most of my power
tools in order to immerse myself more completely in the
human/animal-powered world, for interest and because I think we might
need this knowledge and these skills before long. Am keen to be kept in
the loop and to contribute to a body of knowledge/information such as
you are talking about and whatever else might be proposed. Could also
possibly help with or participate in something at APC...
I just realised that this could be an opportunity for me to set to
acting on my passion in this area - researching, recording and sharing
what I find out. Cool! Great to know there are others who are interested
in this stuff....
cheers All,
Kerry
