Dear Jedd, Ian and Mike,
Thank you for your comments on Linda's view of science not being willing to admit that organic food is better for us as I have tended to agree with her, from what I've read and from personal experience.
I had a Queensland Health nutrition expert come and speak to some kids I was working with last year on an organic growing and healthy eating project. She was happy to talk to them about good food but was not willing to support me about organic food being more nutritious as this was not the official Qld Health position and has not (she said) been proven.
Reading of CSIRO's sacking of Dr Martin Stapper got me really hot under the collar, both angry and sad as I've always had a lot of respect for CSIRO, having worked with some wonderful researchers in my days in the fishing industry.
So your comments have lifted my spirits and given me a bit more hope.
Cheers,
Carol Payne.
