Yes indeed it is a wonderful movement and begun by Rob Hopkins and yes he is
a permaculturist.  He has created a wonderful model that is of great benefit
to communities who want the future they choose rather than the one they are
going to get.

Transition Towns is Permaculture in action and used for the challenges we
face now....those ones the designers and founders of Permaculture knew we
would be facing.
