Dear Steve, reading about the carbon neutral city in the desert project, I
would like to register my interest to be considered as part of your team. 

What information would you like from me?

 

I am a permatect- a registered architect and have a diploma of Permaculture
in Community Services, Architecture and Building. I am in the process of
establishing a small business “Permatecture Consulting” with my husband
combining our skill base to cover everything from eco- retrofitting,
community garden implementation to farm planning.

 

I worked as the site architect with Geoff Lawton in Macedonia, post Kosovo
crisis. I spent some time doing strawbale homes but now concentrate on solar
passive/ low impact housing, community development and community gardening.
I was recently offered the position of “sustainability at home and beyond”
project facilitator with the Surf Coast Shire but unfortunately had to
decline the position for several reasons (childcare etc) but have the
yearning to do some more meaningful work!

 

My husband is also a Bill Mollison/ Geoff Lawton graduate and currently
works for Dept Primary Industries as a landcare facilitator with experience
in revegetating huge areas, soil science and whole farm planning. Any room
on the team for these skills?
