I met Joe once at Crystal Waters. I was only there for a few days and
only spoke with Joe once or twice, but the memory and the good feeling
has stayed with me. It was early morning and Joe and I were the only
ones up. I had been reading. I don't even remember the exact subject of
our conversation, only that it left me with a deep sense of peace and
purpose, and this kind of immovable strength, like a rock rooted in
place. We never crossed paths again, but I have felt these same things
again always, when I've read or heard mention of Joe, and this has given
me a kind of beacon to head towards. Thank you Joe.

I am very sorry for the loss of Joe, and send my best wishes to his
family and friends.
