The International Assessment of Agricultural Science and Technology for
Development is being called the IPCC of global food and agriculture. See
http://www.agassessment.org/ for details. Monsanto and Syngenta have
recently pulled out of the IAASTD because they fear the biotech foods
industry will not get strong support in the assessment.
