The Sunshine Coast is the first Transition Town outside the UK and they made
a new category (transition region).  We are listed in the new and fabulous
book "The Transition Handbook -  From oil dependency to local resilience" by
Rob Hopkins a truly inspirational permaculturalist.

I think it is going to be easier for regions and some of the larger older
towns to become permacultured early in the descent. 

We are doing just fine on the Sunshine Coast, local government is talking
and doing permaculture just as if it is the best and only thing to do....all
we have to do now is let them know it IS permaculture.  Some will get a big
surprise and the rest of them will giggle with glee as we do!!!!
