[Pil-pc-oceania] National Permaculture Day

Oh dear, can I respectfully suggest that we please move beyond the cult of
personality.... it's not about Bill and David anymore... that was the late
70's....
I suggest that we forget birthdays and look for strategic timing...
aligning with the Sustainability events that are scheduled for September,
for instance... which is also the beginning of Spring and a time when
many of the 'seasonal' growers in the suburbs might think about putting in
a spring/summer veggie garden. If we can catch them at that critical time
we might influence them to use permaculture design principles to create a
year-round productive garden rather than an annual burst of mono-cropping.
:)
Having a National Permaculture Day is a great idea, though!
cheers
Steve

Hi there,
After a bit of thought on this one and also after attending the convergence
on the weekend, I think that Bills Bday date would be appropriate.
I am not sure as to the details of how each group or state would promote
such an event but being involved in the Permaculture Tasmanian group we
would work with other groups aswell as our own to promote and get the word
out there to as many people as possible.
Thank you
