Darren Michelle & All
You have tried & tested many aspects of Permaculture Darren, this sharing
event of what you see as surpluses is just further evidence that the concept
works that there is and will be surplus and that there are benefits beyond
measure.
What you have shared here with us is encouragement.
Iam sure people notice that you are barely conscious of the concept; you
understand it and don't think about it much any more. The third ethic is
being extended here; sharing surpluses, there is so much value in doing
this. Iam still exploring sharing and have done reasonably well however
there is still a price on some of my "sharing" , the luggage of that is
enough to be a pain in the arse for me and others at times. However I will
keep practicing and explore my full potential and like you said make a
conscious / unconscious contribution to accelerate succession.
Gandhi said "never look back".
I think that it's easy to get stuck in the mud of over focus on economic
viability. Like Bill once said to me "if you keep on doing what you do
sooner or later you will attract those that want to pay for your services"
Go Very Well ALL
Bruce

G'day,
Thanks for the note Michelle...its often been suggested that I should sell
this stuff but then this is all surplus material to me and if any of this
stuff accelerates succession then doing the money thing would just get in
the way.
Google's coterie of accessible resources are great enablers for the
dissemination of all kinds of material....I can't imagine what things will
be like in 2 years or 5 years for that matter.....
We don't use a mobile phone these days.....I can't stand the bloody things -
they fry my head and anything that makes the radio go so wierd must be
cannot be good...no science there just my own bad vibe!
All the best and more to come....
Darren

Hey Darren,
CONGRATS
Just to say a quick congratulations and pat on the back to you- for using so
much of the available online technology to share Permaculture info and
resources with others.
I've noticed you're using:
Website: <http://www.permaculture.biz/> http://www.permaculture.biz
Blog: <http://australiafelixpermaculture.blogspot.com/>

Picassa: <http://picasa.google.com/> http://picasa.google.com/
Skype: www.skype.com <http://www.skype.com/>
and the traditional landline and mobile phone
The documents and spreadsheets you share could assist other people -
globally - run their own permaculture operations/business. You could
potentially be selling these resources- but you are sharing it freely.
Internet technology has great potential in promoting any movement- as
physical distance is not a barrier, and if this price for information is low
or free- the audience suddenly grows dramatically, in particular to include
poorer people.
So yeah- good on you for being bright, bold, innovative and taking the time
and effort to use it! I'm sure it will pay off in a variety of ways.

IDEA- SHARING RESOURCES
I have been thinking of setting up a space online- possibly using a Google
Spreadsheet where people on the PIL list could add their Permaculture links
and resources. I imagine so many people on this list have so many internet
resources (both international and very local resources)- and if this data
hasn't yet been collated and published online- I'd be happy to start it.
If anyone is interested in helping on this, or if you have any resources
you'd like to share- please feel free to let me know. Alternatively if you
think this is a waste of my time- again let me know! :-)
Kind regards,
Michelle Grattan
P.S. I'm on Facebook if anyone wants to add me as their friend- feel free to
do so.

G'day,
Finally thanks to Google Documents I have found a reasonable means to put a
lot of my files online including:
Business Information
Spreadsheets - New and Old
Articles
Report Templates
Course Outlines/Programs
Still have some things to add: especially presentations - these will take
some playing around with to get right. We are also putting up quirky things
like fencing and machinery spreadsheets and in some cases we will be putting
past course budgets.
Please let me know if you have any dramas reading any of these files.
