[Pil-pc-oceania] Women's PDC

Would love late spring (equinox here is very windy for a week either side) - but have to fit in with Nadia (very busy) and the completion of works at the farm. Our amazing woman builder is off down there next, and she has nearly finished here - we have a painted house! First time in over 70 years apparently!

There are quite a few women interested in curriculum development. I still need to talk to Nadia about what she teaches also. I haven't done anything like this before: what has worked in the past regarding collaborative efforts for curriculum writing?

love T

Sounds good Tamara,

Do you have a date you are thinking of? Spring
perhaps......Inter/National Permaculture Day or thereabouts - doesnt matter
really.....mid to late spring?

If you dare to set a date then that will spur the
development of a special curriculum.

Still interested in that...do you have a list of women
interested in curriculum development?

If so put me on it please.

Excellent work...

Cheers
Deb

I have some good news about a location to teach
the Women's PDC. Some friends of mine have given me "mates rates" to stay at
their old farm cottage in Bunyip, which is on half and acre. They have also
given me another half acre nearby for permie activities. In between is a zone
4 strip where they graze cows, but can be used for camping when we need it. It
is yet to be renovated and they are building an outdoor kitchen for us. When
it is ready, I'll start organising things in earnest then.

They also
have 3 large oaks, poplars, birch, lots of gums, a river frontage, wedgetail
eagles, old pears (in serious need of help!). I can see a 2 week practical
course happening after the PDC, and I have some a local woman lined up that
can teach as well as me and all you talented women out there if you're
interested. It also looks like there will be a women's convergence on the last
  weekend of the PDC.

I am also thinking we can run some mixed classes on
grafting, tree care and timber since they have so many opportunities
  there...

Lots of love,
Tamara
