Post Carbon Cities: Planning for Energy and Climate Uncertainty is a 
guidebook for local governments on peak oil (the moment at which global oil 
production hits its highest point, followed by a permanent decline) and 
global warming. It provides a sober look at the challenges that peak oil and 
global warming are creating for local governments, and explains what local 
decision-makers can do to address these challenges.
