[Trusties] politics and the end of the party

Another great article flagged by Ben Burke. See

like the author, Steve Biddulph's, take on peak oil, climate change and the 
tectonic forces now releasing themselves in the political landscape. I'm not 
so sure about the timelines he is predicting. A wise man once said that the 
market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent. Another 
said that we should never underestimate the ability of the status quo to 
prop up the global economic house of cards. But, the longer we put off 
dealing with reality the more heavily reality will deal with us. If this 
sort of stuff is making it into the Sydney Morning Herald then we are in for 
an interesting ride.
