Permaforest Trust April 2008 Update

Hi folks,

The first semester of the 2008 Accredited Permaculture Training program, now
based in Byron Bay, is off to a flying start. 26 Students began their
permaculture journey with a two day camp at Permaforest Farm at Barkers
Vale. This was a great opportunity for students from all over Australia and
the world to get to know each other, the course and the land. Good organic
food, fresh air and some introductory training meant for a good time for
all. 

Students are now organizing interesting initiatives in Byron Bay and
surrounds as part of their training- more on this next news letter, or keep

2008 Accredited Permaculture Training Program:  

The next Permaforest Trust Accredited Permaculture Training  course intake
starts August 5th  2008 in Byron Bay.  We are now taking bookings, contact

Would you like to spend the day learning about Permaculture?  You can attend
single Knowledge Based Training lectures in the Permaforest Trust's
Permaculture Design Course for $50 per day, or attend all sixteen for $800
and gain a PDC (permaculture design certificate).  Contact

Trust Stuff: 

We farewelled Rob (APT Cert 4) and Steph (APT Cert 4) after two years as
students at Permaforest Trust and as support staff at Permaforest Farm.
They'll spend a short time in Newcastle with family and friends and then
move to New Zealand to work with other alumni Barney Smith and Matt Minoprio
(Cert 4) on a community building project.  Follow the link to see pictures
