2008 Accredited Permaculture Training Program:

*	The Permaforest Trust now has a permanent Design Studio and
Classroom in the centre of Byron Bay. Located in the building of the Byron
Language Academy, (corner of Ruskin and Tennyson streets, opposite Green
Garage) the Studio offers students the capacity to collaborate on design and
project work 7 days a week and access to broadband Internet computer use and
Permaculture and Post Carbon Transition library resources.  

*	Applications are still open for the Accredited Permaculture Training
T program in Byron Bay. Midyear intake starts August 5th, 2008.    Email any

Social Justice Scholarship Opportunities in Permaforest Trust Programs:

 

 

*	The Permaforest Trust offers a limited number of partial
scholarships for the Certificate IV and Diploma in Accredited Permaculture
Training T, as well as a number of full scholarships in the Permaculture
Design Course (PDC).

*	Jerome Santospirito and Kaylah Ferguson (Managers of Permaforest
Farm) are now selling organic produce from Permaforest Farm at the Northey
Street City Farm Organic Markets in Brisbane.  Come down to Northey Street
to say 'G'day' from 6am - 10.30am on Sunday Mornings.

*	Cam Wilson (Diploma in Accredited Permaculture Training Alumni) and
Jessie Price have announced the arrival of their baby boy.  Their happy,
healthy little man was born in Samoa on July 18th, 2008.   Cam and Jessie
and their little one will return to Australia in February 2009, after their
yearlong Permaculture Project in Samoa.
*	Stephanie Yank and Rob Wainwright (Accredited Permaculture Training
Cert IV Alumni), Builders and Project Managers of the Earth Bag Dome at
Permaforest Farm, have had the second article about the finishing on the
Earth Bag Dome published in Owner Builder Magazine - issue 147 June/July
